Europe from the Schuman Declaration to the Next Generation Eu

A webinar to celebrate Europe Day

A webinar entitled "Europe from the Schuman Declaration to the Next Generation Eu" will be held on Thursday, May 6, at 6 pm.

The event has been organized on the occasion of Europe Day, which is celebrated every year on May 9 in memory of the Schuman Declaration. In his famous speech of May 9, 1950, the French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman defined the purpose of the process of European integration: to safeguard the peace not only of Europe but of the entire world. To do this, as a first step, the French foreign minister proposed the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC).

The initiative, which is endorsed by B4Peace, has been organized by the Civitas Europa Association together with the Municipality of Modena and the Europe Direct Modena center.

The speakers will be Michele Marchi (University of Bologna) and Emanuele Castelli (University of Parma). The Councillor for Europe of the Municipality of Modena, Anna Maria Lucà, will speak at the opening. Massimiliano Palladini will moderate.
