From Parma to the world, and back

A conference on International Cooperation

What are civil wars? What are their causes? What, above all, are their consequences? How can we help countries emerging from conflict to resolve the lacerations in their battered societies? These are the topics of a Conference that will be held on Friday, Nov. 26, from 3 p.m., in the Aula Filosofi of the University of Parma.

The event, organized in partnership with the European project B4Peace, is part of CaST (Community and Students Together), a project in which the University of Parma is participating along with the universities of Exeter, Ghent, Malaga, Magdeburg and Turku. The goal of the project is to understand how universities can work more effectively and inclusively within their local communities by providing opportunities for students to collaborate with local community stakeholders (engaged learning).

After a brief introduction on civil conflicts, the floor will be turned over to representatives of the University Center for International Cooperation, Parma for Others, and Tsiry Parma, who will explain ongoing projects in Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Madagascar, respectively.
